This article examines how political relations between England and Wales evolved during the tenth eleventh centuries. During this period, newly enlarged English kingdom ruled by Alfred Great’s descendants became more sophisticated better able to exploit its inhabitants. At same time, came be dominated a smaller number of powerful wide-ranging kings.
